Different Route Same Dream

A lot of people give up on their dreams when obstacles are placed in front of them, but this particular Fresno State wide-out decided to go against the grain, and push even harder toward his dream. Josiah Blandin, current Fresno State WR and Long Beach Poly graduate has finally been given his opportunity to shine, and he's taking full advantage! Let's start this story from the beginning during his days at Poly Blandin was a monster at the receiver spot, and one of the top option for the Jackrabbit offense, not to mention he was a 4-year varsity player. In his senior year the 6'4 210lb WR had a whooping 329 total receiving yards averaging 15.6yds per catch, and 29.9yds per game with his longest reception recorded being 63yds. After he graduated Blandin continued his journey at Arizona State University where he wasn't utilized to his full potential,, and decided to come back home to LBCC and try another route. In his first season at LBCC the wide-out had an astounding 627yds averaging 78.4yds a game on 48 receptions, 4 of which resulted in touchdowns! Blandin next season at Long Beach City was just as tremendous as his first recording 691yds averaging 86.4yds a game, 16.9 a reception with his largest gain being an 80yd reception against Mt. Sac, and taking 6 of his 41 reception into the endzone! After his stellar seasons at LBCC Blandin was recruited by San Jose State, Illinois, Colorado, Utah, and of course Fresno State. Josiah has approached the current  season with a chip on his shoulder, and it's showing! In 8 games he has 155yds, 3 TD's on 14 receptions, and is looking to continue on his great season. Although the Bulldogs are having a rough season with their (2-8) record Blandin is the silver lining of the dark on the dark cloud that is the Bulldogs season. Check out the remainder of of their season, and watch the Junior WR continue to do his thing on the gridiron! Expect a big Senior year from Josiah Blandin next season if he isn't swooped up in the draft after this one!
