Change Will Come: The Malik Marquetti Story

If you are from Long Beach you know that Moore League basketball has been a breeze for LB Poly for quite some time now, with the runner up usually being Jordan or Compton, and eventually we get to the bottom of the totem pole Millikan, but senior SF Malik Marquetti and the 2014 Millikan Rams boys basketball team had something to say about that. In his last year the 6'6  small forward was a force to be reckoned with averaging 22.8ppg and 11.5rebs! The double double machine led his team to a remarkable 21-9 season, and 9-3 Moore League season having some amazing games along the way including two different season high 37pt performances against Lakewood, and St. Anthony. Marquetti is getting ready to start his sophmore season at USC, and expect him to become more of an offensive option through out the year, and years to come. With his ability to get to the rack, and also get hot from 3 he is a constant threat when on the floor. I believe that once he gets comfortable within the Trojan system he will ring bells in the Pac-12. Check out their season schedule and hit up the Galen Center for a game or two this coming season!
