Long Beach Legends

213 was a rap group featuring some of Long Beach's greatest rappers Snoop Dogg, Warren G, and Nate Dogg. The group came about in the early 90s, and they were named after the original area code of Long Beach. Fun fact 213 made their first demo in the back of what use to be the famous Record store "V.I.P" in Long Beach. The group made their first appearance on a commercially released song on Dr. Dre's debut solo album The Chronic on a song titled "Deez Nuuuts" with each rapper appearing on the chorus, intro, and outro of the track! The song that really took off for the group was "Aint No Fun" which was featured on Snoop Dogg's solo debut album "Doggystyle", and also featured Kurupt of Dogg Pound. In 1994 they released their EP "St. Ides", then years later in 2004 the group released their only studio album "The Hard Way." The album was such a success they were charted as high as #4 on the billboard top 100 list with classics like "Groupie Love" and "So Fly" featured on the project it's easy to see why it was such a hit!
