Dreams Coming True One Tackle at a Time

UCLA Junior linebacker Jayon Brown has gotten the minutes he deserves this season, and he's surely taking advantage of it! Going back to his high school days Brown was a 3-star recruit, top 100 outside linebacker in the nation, and a top 20 OLB on the west coast. and was a CIF Pac-5 Defensive Player of the Year coming out of Poly! To top it off his senior year he ended the season with a total 112 tackles, and 11.5 tackles for loss. His first two seasons as a Bruin he wasn't given much to work with in 2013 he played on special teams, and as a reserve linebacker. He had 6 tackles on the season, and was named the John Boncheff Jr. Rookie of the Year, and Pac-12 Player of the Week after he had two tackles, and a forced fumble against Colorado. Last season he played majority special teams, and only recorded two tackles, but this season the 6'0 220lb linebacker has really unleashed his inner beast! In 11 games this season Brown has  a total of 88 tackles, 55 solo tackles, and 33 assisted on, and he's averaging 8 tackles per game. On top of that the JR backer has 2 tackles for loss, and is credited for half a sack. This season has been a great one for Brown having his biggest game of his career in UCLA's 35-31 win over Colorado where he recorded a career high 18 tackles! Twice as many as the next player on his team, and the most tackles by a UCLA player in the last two years! If Brown keeps up this stellar play you will be seeing a lot more of him on the big screen at the next level! find out what bowl game they play in in their final game of the season, and continue to expect big things from Jayon Brown!
