Two Sports, One Athlete, One Goal

It's very difficult being a dual sport athlete especially at a top division 1 school, but Long Beach Poly Senior Ahmad Dorsey did it with ease. Following a Desean Jacksonesque path Dorsey is a wide receiver, and safety for the football team, and played in-field, outfield, and a little bit of pitcher for the baseball team his Freshmen and Sophmore year. As a freshmen Dorsey played in 21 games recording 14 hits, 8 runs, and 6 RBI's with a .292 batting average which landed him a spot on the JV team his Sophmore year. In 12 games Dorsey had a .400 batting average, and racked up 9 runs, and 4 RBI's on 14 hits! After his Sophmore season Dorsey left baseball, and decided to focus on football. His Junior year was mostly a learning experience recording only 1 catch for 18yds on offense, and 4 solo tackles on the season, but in his senior year the young wide-out has taken advantage of his minutes racking up 93yds on 7 catches one of which he took to the end zone for 6! Expect the 6'3 185lb wide-out to finish his senior season strong, and go on to do great things at the next level if he continues to work hard, and strive to be great he will be successful beyond measure in whatever he does! You can keep up with the rest of Dorseys final season in the green and gold below!
