Vince Staples: Current Top Dog of the Long Beach Rap Game

Long Beach is making noise again in the music industry, the north side to be specific, or Norf side as this Long Beach bred rapper pronounces it. Rapper Vince Staples is killing the game right now from features to personal projects he is putting on for the city in a huge way. With his distinct sound, strong bars, and versatility he rarely disappoints when he steps to the mic. Vince has worked with some  top tier names in the game such as Common, Future, NO I.D, and peers Jhene Aiko, SchoolboyQ, Ab-soul, and Mac Miller with plenty more big name features soon to come. The 22yr old artist just recently released his debut 2 disc album "Summertime '06" which featured hits such as NORF NORF, Senorita where he loops a verse from Future on the hook, Lemme Know featuring Jhene Aiko,  and more. This year has been a great one for the young rapper as well as releasing his debut album Vince Staples was a XXL 2015 freshman, and also was apart of the 2015 BET Hip Hop awards cypher where he spoke about what it was like growing up in the city, and proclaimed himself as the best doing it on the mic. His material speaks for itself, and I have a feeling Vince is just getting started, and he has a lot more in store for the city, and the world! Hopefully we can work something out in the future, and set up an interview with him, but for now check out the Norf side soldiers iconic video for one of his hit single Senorita below!
