The Pioneer of Long Beach Rap

It's the bow to the wow, creepin, and crawlin yiggy yes yallin, Snoop Doggy Dog! Now it wouldn't be a Rise Long Beach or a music scene period without this man here. The originator of the R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta) movement better known as Snoop Dogg stepped on the scene in 1992 linking up with Dr. Dre throughout Dre's solo debut album The Chronic, and from there Snoop would go on to do some amazing things not just for himself, but for the city of Long Beach as well. Throughout his career Snoop has sold over 21 million albums in the U.S, and over 35 million albums worldwide with a few albums such as Tha Doggfather, and his notorious Doggystyle album going platinum and then some! From there Snoop began to expand, and dabble in other areas like movies, and TV Shows starring in/hosting his own shows Doggy Fizzle Televizzle, Dogg's Fatherhood, Dogg After Dark, and more. Snoop then became an icon in the entertainment industry, but amidst all the fame and fortune he had gained Snoop still found  ways to give back to his community, and created other avenues to put the city  on the map. Snoop created his youth football league, the SYFL in 2005 and since then has flooded the NCAA with D1 athletes. Snoop is currently still pumping out new music, and doing his famous internet series GGN, all while still figuring out ways to involve the city of Long Beach in everything he does. In fact he is currently working something for the young artists of the city called "LBC Movement" that just released a CD and is set to release a video and DVD within a week. Keep up to date with everything Snoop at his website linked below, and be on the look out for a Snoop x Rise collab or maybe even a Rise special on GGN! Get at us Unc!
