Fear the Fiso!

When talking about successful linebackers out of Long Beach Poly everyone immediately thinks of Willie McGinest. Rightfully so, but soon the people of Long Beach will be adding another name to that list. Salamo Fiso a 6'2 LB outta Arizona State, and LBP alum is a monster, and an absolute tackling machine on the field. In his first year at ASU Salamo led the Sun Devils in tackles in his first career collegiate game against Sacramento State, played in all 14 games in the season, seeing 10 starts out of those 14, and he earned College Football News Honorable Mention All-American Freshman. His Sophmore season Salamo unleashed a little bit more of the beast matching a career high 9 tackles in a game against USC, receiving the Ron Pritchard Outstanding Linebacker Award, and recording his first career interception versus Washington State, where he also added on 5 tackles. Salamo is currently a Junior and has taken off right where he left off last season with no signs of slowing down. Against Cal Poly Pomona he recorded 10 tackles being one of 5 players that game to get double digit tackles, was the defensive standout against USC recording 8 total tackles with 4 being for a loss of yards, and he currently has the most tackles in the nation this season at 45. Salamo's tenacity and aggression combined with his size, and work ethic makes him the great player he is, and will soon pay off. Watch him, and the Sun Devils wreck havoc on teams defensively with The Ferocious Fiso leading the way! Join him for the rest of his season as he try's to climb to that #1 spot on the list of nationally ranked tacklers! The rest of his season schedule is linked below, and come next year if he makes the decision to stay his senior year, or leave and pursue the pros you can expect to see another piece on the soon to be early 1st or 2nd round pick of the NFL Draft out of Long Beach!
